How do I book an appointment?

To book an appointment for yourself or on behalf of someone else, complete our appointment request form or call us at +44 (0) 207 871 2575.

What happens if I need ongoing treatment or surgery after my consultation or diagnostics?

Our consultants have established relationships with private healthcare professionals with inpatient facilities and will arrange an admission should you require further treatment.

How do I choose a consultant?

Consultants at Mayo Clinic Healthcare are top in their fields. They take the time to listen to you and build a relationship, resulting in expert care tailored to your individual needs.

There are two options for choosing a consultant:

  1. View our list of consultants and select the one you believe best meets your needs. Then click on the “Request an appointment” button on the consultant's page.
  2. Complete our appointment request form and a Mayo Clinic Healthcare representative will call you to discuss your needs. During that conversation, our representative will explain your options and help you choose the consultant who is right for you.

How do I pay for my treatment?

As a private healthcare centre, we offer insurance and self-pay options.

  • Insurance. We are contracted with most private medical insurance companies. We suggest contacting your insurance provider in advance to ensure the cost of your medical care is covered. Once your insurer has confirmed coverage, the insurer often provides an authorisation number. Please provide us with this authorisation before your appointment. We will submit invoices on your behalf to the insurer unless you advise otherwise. We also may obtain credit card details in case any services have a shortfall.
  • Self-pay. Before your appointment, we will provide a cost estimate for medical services. Please note that this is only an estimate. Services may be added or removed as your condition requires. Payment is appreciated in advance of your services.

Please note that we are a cashless clinic.

Pay an outstanding invoice.

How quickly can I be seen?

For most specialties, we are often able to provide same-day appointments depending on your individual requirements. For Executive Health Screenings, we recommend planning 2 to 4 weeks in advance.

Please contact us to discuss your needs and find the soonest available appointment.

Do I need a GP referral to a consultant at Mayo Clinic Healthcare?

It depends. If you are self-paying, we do not require a GP referral. Private health insurance typically requires a GP referral for authorisation, however, so we recommend contacting your insurance company before making an appointment.

Note that most diagnostic tests require a referral, although there are a few which can be booked without one:

  • Ambulatory blood pressure monitoring.
  • Electrocardiogram (ECG).
  • Holter monitor.
  • Spirometry.
  • Transthoracic echocardiogram.
  • Zio monitor.

I live outside of the UK. Do you accept international patients?

We welcome patients from the UK and around the world to our outpatient and diagnostic centre. Contact us to make an appointment.
