"I have a strong interest in both academic research and clinical practice in cardiology, with a special focus on percutaneous coronary intervention via the radial approach. I gained experience in Switzerland as a cardiology interventional trainee and am actively involved in developing new programs to address resistant hypertension and percutaneous aortic valve procedures."


Dr Kabir is an international expert in interventional cardiology, performing between 300 and 400 angioplasty procedures a year. He has published nearly 100 peer-reviewed articles and is regularly invited to give presentation to fellow specialists across Europe.

Areas of focus


Dr Kabir trained in the North West London Deanery program in cardiology at the Royal Brompton Hospital, where he received specialised training in the TAVI procedure.

He has undertaken an Interventional Cardiology fellowship in Lausanne, Switzerland, as well as training in cardiology and general internal medicine at Luton University Hospital, Hemel Hempstead Hospital and Northwick Park Hospital.

Dr Kabir earned his undergraduate medical degree at United Medical and Dental Schools of Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals and his PhD from the University of London.

Dr Kabir remains involved with education, teaching the MRCP Practical Assessment of Clinical Examination Skills course at Harefield Hospital since 2013.


Dr Kabir has been a British Heart Foundation (BHF) scholar at the University College London’s Rayne Institute, which awarded him a BHF PhD clinical studentship in a national competition. He has contributed to nearly 100 peer-reviewed articles.
