"I have spent over a decade working as a full-time consultant for the NHS after completing my initial training with Barts and the London NHS Trust. I continued my learning with a fellowship in Toronto, where I specialised in radiology of the chest, abdomen, and pelvis, particularly pertaining to gastrointestinal and gynaecological imaging."

"I have authored numerous research papers, review articles, and book chapters on various aspects of radiology. In addition to carrying out ultrasound studies and barium radiography examinations, I also report on CT and MRI scans."

"Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my young family. I enjoy supporting Manchester United football club or the Kilkenny hurling team and also play some musical instruments."

Expertise

Dr Niall Power has specialized training in radiology from Barts and the London NHS trust, where he led the computed tomography (CT) team and was the radiology lead for colorectal screening and colorectal and upper GI MDTs. He specialises in liver and GI imaging.

Dr Power has lectured in the UK and at international meetings. He has also published several peer-reviewed papers and contributed his expertise to chapters in abdominal imaging books.

Education

After earning his medical degree at Beaumont and Letterkenny General Hospitals in Dublin, Dr Power studied radiology at Barts and the London NHS Trust. He then completed a body-imaging fellowship at Sunnybrook Hospital at the University of Toronto.

Research

Dr Power has authored or co-authored many book chapters and peer-reviewed papers.
