Expertise

Dr Adams is the clinical lead for Neuroimaging at BartsHealth NHS Trust and is an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at Queen Mary University of London. His sub-specialty is head and neck ultrasonography to assess diseases of the salivary gland, thyroid and parathyroid gland. Dr Adams performs imaging studies of the ear, nose and throat that involve a combination of computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

Dr Adams develops training courses on the latest imaging techniques for head and neck conditions and uses them to train physicians, surgeons, radiologists and others. He is regularly invited to lecture across the UK and Europe.

Education

Dr Adams earned his medical degree from the University College London Medical School, where he also earned postgraduate certification. He has both a European Diploma in Head and Neck Radiology from the European Society of Head and Neck Radiology and a Cardiff University Bond Solon Expert Witness Certificate.

Research

Dr Adams has contributed to dozens of studies examining a range of head and neck diseases. He has also contributed several book chapters on how to best image specific conditions, such as neuro-ophthalmology, Sjogren’s disease and cerebral trauma.
