Thomas Gilkes, MBChB, FRCA, is an experienced clinician in the management of acute and chronic pain. His anaesthetic training at Barts and the London School of Anaesthesia and further advanced pain training at St Mary's Hospital in London has provided a solid base for his consultant career and the prerequisite tools to provide the gift of pain relief.

Dr Gilkes has expertise in the pharmacological and interventional management of pain. On the pharmacological side, he is skilled in employing multiple analgesic medications, including more-novel agents such as cannabinoids and ketamine. Interventionally, Dr Gilkes is skilled at techniques including ultrasound and fluoroscopy- and X-ray-guided injections as well as radiofrequency neuromodulation.

Dr Gilkes values being part of a multidisciplinary team, allowing for multipronged, concurrent treatment strategies to address his patients' and clients' needs.
