Expertise

Deane Halfpenny, MBBCh, FRCA, FFPMRCA, can provide rapid diagnostic, imaging and treatment options to people who have both acute and long-standing spinal pain. He is particularly interested in managing patients whose symptoms have become concerning, uncontrolled or disabling. Mr Halfpenny can provide advice on optimal pain medication, alongside other types of treatment, to provide a truly individualized management plan.

Mr Halfpenny uses a holistic approach when assessing patients, taking into consideration the age, ongoing medical conditions and level of function, as well as individual aims and lifestyle. He believes that every patient is an individual. He is happy to provide pain management pathways for his patients, drawing on his experience of working in multidisciplinary teams. Adopting a collaborative approach to pain management with his patients ensures that individual expectations are realistic and can be met.
