Professor Sina Dorudi is a consultant colorectal surgeon and the medical director at Mayo Clinic Healthcare located in London. Professor Dorudi has expertise in leading best practice clinics and is interested in all aspects of colorectal surgery and general surgery. He has served as a consultant colorectal surgeon at St Bartholomew's and The Royal London Hospitals in London, where he was the lead colorectal cancer surgeon and subsequently Professor of Surgical Oncology. He now works in private practice. Professor Dorudi was formerly medical director at The (HCA) Princess Grace Hospital before his appointment to the same role at Mayo Clinic Healthcare in October 2023.

Education

Professor Dorudi qualified at medical school in London and then trained in general and colorectal surgery in Oxford and London. He subsequently undertook a specialty fellowship in colorectal surgery in Sydney, Australia. His qualifications include:

Research

Professor Dorudi's laboratory-based research focused on improving the prognostic stratification of colorectal cancer patients following surgery and the immunology of differing colorectal cancer phenotypes. His main research focus now centres around the development of tools to measure and optimise outcomes in patients who have undergone major abdominal surgery. He currently co-supervises a trainee surgeon undertaking a PhD studentship on this work.
